Fiona Harrison Website – Summer 2010
Fiona came to us needing an update to her (already successful) website. She wanted to revamp it with a more graphical and vintage feel, including a new logo design, reflecting the period that she sings from. This was an interesting project as we began by looking at old vintage magazines and style books to see what the main elements of 1930s/1940s/1950s style were. We soon found the preferred look, using a colour scheme of red, white and blue, along with geometric graphical elements, reminiscent of the Art Deco period, to complement Fiona’s professional photos. The layout of this site is unconventional and more creative than usual for some of the more B2B sites I do, so it was a very enjoyable project, and the latest web technology helped create the look we were after. More pages are planned to come soon, including a Discography page and a 1940s fashion page, reminiscent of the sort of layout used in Women’s magazines of the period. So watch this space.
The website can be found at www.fionaharrison.biz. Comments welcome and if you have any current requirements for web or graphic design work, please do get in touch.
